Pedestrian 1.0
Pedestrian 1.0 desires objectification, to be made transparent, to flicker in and out of existence. The performer activates a field of subtle tension that hovers between hesitation and direction, pleasure and discomfort. The image of a simplified, sexualised form is slightly displaced in order to channel other narratives into the arena. A hollow, shallow gaze and a sense of galactic time generate the weight and density of a void, simultaneously producing attraction and repulsion. Pedestrian is an NPC, a ‘non-player character’, another lost tourist, an empty universe, a ghost in a shell.

This version of Pedestrian was developed and performed in the Aabent Laboratorium residency in 2019.
