Teaching

Sophia teaches in various institutions and schools, in both intensive workshop format and ongoing regular classes. The content of her workshops is often connected to her artistic practice, current research, and interests. These workshops are available for professional or amateur dancers, choreographers, actors, makers, directors, or anyone with experience and interest in performance art. Her ongoing or regular classes are often specific to students within dance institutions or professional dance companies. These classes draw from various disciplines and practices studied before, during and after her formal dance training. Her range of experience with martial arts includes Qi Gong, Kung Fu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Capoeira, and aikido. She is currently a regular guest teacher at The Danish National School of Performing Arts, Akademiet, and Danish Dance Theater. She has also taught at Ballet de Lorraine, Corpus, AFUK, and Gerlev Stage.
